As much as we love a good no-makeup makeup look, we can't help but adore a seriously stunning eye. And although a classic cat eye and smokey lid will always have special places in our hearts, there's a new eye look that's calling to us. Most commonly called "upside down makeup" by makeup artists and the makeup obsessed on Instagram, this new eye trend has us turning everything we know about eyeliner on its head. So what is it? Well, simply put it's the technique of applying a bold color to only the bottom lash line. Sometimes called drop shadow, this look is a great, rather subtle way to add a pop of color to your lids without embracing a full-on blue or purple lid. And you don't have to be a pro to master it. Simply take an electric shade of eyeliner or that pan of shadow you never thought you'd use in your mega palette and swipe it underneath your lower lid. Pair with a lighter lip and more neutral blush or highlighter to let your peepers take center stage! Want to try this trend for yourself?
